(NON)FICTION
Hein Floris

Hein proposes a narrative and visual story that leads us to different worlds, leading to painting and photography. Individual pieces that are combined in a polyphony of great plastic beauty. Works that dialogue with each other, and at the same time, each one of them is subject and object of its own discourse.
Young, emerging artist, but with great expressive force in his works. He is concise in his formal resources – this being, without a doubt, his hallmark both in his role as a photographer and as a visual artist.
Clean lines, clear ideas, masterful framing, lights perfectly subjugated to their own purpose. His exquisite photographic work, in substance and form, studied and serialized to compose a polyphonic score.
Windows, doors, architecture, everyday objects and above all an almost total lack, with some exceptions, of the human presence that is only suggested on some occasions, are the true protagonists of this exhibition: the curtain, the stage and the decorations that are the true stage of this exhibition.
In his pictorial work, Hein discovers himself as a curious artist. Chooses varied paths that range from surrealist poetics to abstraction. He is interested in the female figure, the flower as an integrating element, abstraction based on the flight of a bird… and above all, and also of great value, his logbooks, where he expresses his ideas, the concepts he wants to address and his sketches for future works.
